Terrific and Fun to use

I keep my iPad in the car and after a few hours of birding I sit down and use iBird to check IDs and to make notes. I most like the local searches you can save and the combination of photos and illustrations.
The maps could be a bit more detailed and the checklist option is still wanting. I use the Peterson app for that. The identification feature seems ok for breeding adults and even that seems hit or miss at times.
Still its an excellent app that I use pretty much all the time and it should be part of every birders arsenal.
