iBird Pro Guide to Birds App Reviews

Ibird is a really useful field guide since you can use on either phone or iPad so you always have with you. Drawings are simplified so are really clear and easy to see even on a small screen. Search feature makes it easier to use than a field guide, but I mostly just use the simple text search. They also do lots of updates so it keeps on getting better. Photos are very useful too and you can easily keep track of what you saw.

This is worth every penny. I especially love the sounds function, which is helpful when your heading out looking for specific birds. Buy it, you wont be sorry. Its actually worth much more than they charge.

Ive had this app for a few years now and I love it. Its my go to app to ID birds. This app is easy to use and I can quickly identify birds I find. I love the observed in State / Month feature.

This app is a great resource for visual and song identification of birds! Since its on my phone it is always with me. I like the fact that notes and my own pictures can be archived in the app!

New improvements are wonderful. Would love if you could filter by a city or area instead of by a state. Love the app though. I was a novice birder and have learned to easily identify lots of birds. The calls are especially helpful!!

This is a very helpful app for anyone interested in birds. I use it frequently, mostly to view photos, look up range and to listen to the call/song. I am a naturalist, birder and science teacher. My 1st grade students also use this app during our 4 month long bird study. Well worth the cost!

I really love this App - there are illustrations and photos and in many cases the images include juveniles which is helpful in spring and summer. Its especially amazing on an iPad Pro. There is a large set of information to explore about each species - I highly recommend it.

This is my favorite app of all I have. The range of information, both text and image, is wonderful. I love the availability of bird calls. Its simply the best - terrific value for money.

Latest iteration of this app is astounding! The paintings and photographs are excellent and provide the variations to get you accurate spots. Love the sounds, but be sure not to play them during mating seasons or during migration! Take your lead from a pro if youre walking with one!

The app is great for a quick reference and as a supplement to a field guide. When it comes to harder to identify birds, the app lacks the depth of information and ease of comparing different species at once offered by a traditional field guide. Amazing resource for range maps, photos, and focalizations! Just as I dont go anywhere without my field guide, I wouldnt go anywhere without this app!!

This app is everything I was looking for. I no longer have to carry a heavy field guide with me when I go birding. The fact I can search for birds, and use the sound recordings to attract them to me is incredible.
